Hi all, sorry for the delay in posts again. I've been busy working on Oaksgrove_V2, which I am happy to say will be released some time early next week. I still have to give it some extra detail and optimize it, and check for bugs.

Despite all the problems I have faced during mapping it, I am happy to have had the opportunity to try and make a quality RP map while bettering my own skills as well, and i think that shows in this new version of oaksgrove.

Anyways, tomorrow i am going to go get Wisdom teeth removed at the dentist, so don't expect any other posts until Oaksgrove Releases next week. Gustov Out

hey everyone, sorry i havent updated in a few days. Ive been real busy tryng to finish up oaksgrove_v2.

For thoes of you who participated in the beta i would like to sincerely thank you for helping assist me in the finding and fixing of bugs. Your Feedback really means alot to me and you should be seeing a final product too.

I am confident that this Version will be nearly 200% better then my previous version, as i have taken the past 2 months to carefully create a quality environment that i hope people use use for their RP servers in the future.

The next update you see from me will probably be when im very close to releasing. Until then, stay tuned.

Yes its been quite a while since the original, and i finally have something worthwhile to show for it. Those of you who have helped me in the process, expect the key to the beta.

After My First Version of Oaksgrove which, for a lack of better words, had good ideas but a lack of true understanding of hammer. I began to Learn more about landscaping and detail. In my transition between publishing the first version and making the second i tried 2 different maps.


One of such maps was GF_IslandTest, a small 4 team versus map for the gamemode Go Fish in Garrysmod. The map was shaping up to look very nice. I was planning to add 6 islands, 4 of them being the various team islands and 1 being a spawning island. The last island, a cove of which you can see in some of these pictures, was a place for teams to barter and keep items between groups. All members would start the map in a different area, called "the tavern" where you would have to offer an item you fished from a pond to get to the main area, in an attempt to stop Mingebags from ruining the game.

However, The map suffered a flaw while in developement that plagued it for its lifespan. An error which made the map terrible and caused me to discontinue it. I hope one day to try to recreate it, mabey after Oaksgrove_v2.

Speaking of Oaksgrove_V2, expect an updated post today with some pictures and its status. Thank you for reading.

Hello there! My name is Zachary Bishop, but those of you who have wandered here for a reason probably know me more as "Gustov" On Steam or "Wtbalife" on Facepunch.

As I have continued to work on maps for the source engine, i have realized that relaying map updates to a bunch of other people through chat messages has become Tedious. From Now on I will be posting All Pictures, videos, and anything else Relevant to my maps or mapping interest on this blog so that it will be easier to track and learn about new updates and etc.

For those of you interested in a little more information about myself, i am a Senior and Live in Ashland Ohio. My hobbies of course are gaming and developing, whether it be maps or textures or anything else involved.
